2026 Best CBRN Warrior Competition Sponsored by the Chemical Corps Regimental Association

The Chemical Corps Regimental Association (CCRA) is proud to sponsor the United States Army Chemical Corps’ 2026 Best CBRN Warrior Competition and award ceremony 28 May thru 31 May 2026. This important Regimental event is a 4 day event conducted annually to challenge, test and select the best two CBRN Soldiers in the world. The inaugural event was first held at Fort Leonard Wood in June 2006, and the winners were recognized at the United States Army Chemical Corps’ annual Green Dragon Ball.

The BCWC is a competition that gives recognition of excellence to the best CBRN warrior team in the US Army Chemical Corps. The competition’s objectives are to promote esprit-de-corps, to instill pride in the Chemical Corps, and to reinforce essential elements of lethality, mission readiness, discipline, and individual excellence. Teams will compete from 28 – 31 May 2026 (T) to determine the BCWC winners, with 26 May and 2 June being travel days

 

Eligibility criteria. Participants must meet the following eligibility requirements to compete:

Active Army, Army National Guard, or Army Reserve Soldiers who possess a primary MOS of 74A, 74D, or 740A (regardless of rank). Sister service and international teams may also participate; however, participants must possess their services’ equivalent CBRN job code/occupational specialty.

  1. No derogatory action within the past three years (i.e., nonjudicial punishment, letters of reprimand, blotter infractions, etc.). Company commander’s (or service equivalent) verification required via Enclosure 1.

          Passing score on a record Army Fitness Test (AFT) or service equivalent no earlier than 1 December 2025.

         In compliance with the Army Body Composition Program with a height and weight screening conducted no earlier than 1 December 2025.

  1. No physical limiting profile that prevents a Service Member from wearing the CBRN Protective Mask, mission-oriented protective posture (MOPP) gear, carrying a Soldier’s basic load of equipment or conducting the list of tasks identified above. Additionally, there must be no underlying medical conditions that would contribute to the injury or illness of either competitor while competing in the competition as verified by a medical provider via Enclosure 2.

  2. Meet qualification standards on assigned weapon no earlier than 1 June 2025. Organizations that are not assigned weapons must contact the BCWC POCs to determine eligibility.

  1. Have a Medical Readiness Code of MRC1 or MRC2.
